You and I are God

I have been perceived by many among my circle of friends, colleagues and family as a Freethinker, which I don’t deny as I am very well a freethinker of my own kind. With all due respect to the religion believers, let me get one fact right. There might be several reputable sites over in the internet that states Freethinker as a religion by its own, but this is not true. Freethinkers do not indulge themselves to be the children of God; in fact Freethinkers question the existence of the path towards God. Actually we take a very liberal approach when it comes to God. We are nice people; we don’t want to engage in a heated argument about religion and the path to meet God. We respect and adhere the believe and faith of others. However, let me warn you. Do not take the opportunity to question our liberal thinking because you are in for a fatal blow. Remember, Freethinkers take an easier approach because we do not have faith or believe in religion. You as the religion believer take the more difficult approach as you need to answer questions posed by us on the practicality of one’s believe.

I for one person do not believe in religion. I might have belief in God, but who is God first of all. Has anyone seen God? And why do we always regard God as a male? Why not a female? Nevertheless, you cannot negate the fact that there are scenarios and situations that cannot be explained by science. These mysteries can be found and read all over the internet. Most are dramas for entertainment purpose, but some are really true. For instance the Hindu idol Ganapthy drinking milk from a spoon. How on earth do you explain that? The climax of this mystery is that these Hindu idol Ganapathys around the world refused to take a drop more of milk pass noon on the 21st September 1995. Guys, I saw this phenomenon myself. Ecstatic!! Sathya Sai Baba takes out a Linggam (Idol of Lord Shiva in Hindu Mythology) from his mouth. Ok that one of course is untrue. In fact, there was a documentary by the British Broadcasting Center (BBC) about the whole fallacious act.

Nevertheless, there are circumstances that go beyond the theory of science. God is very objective for me. If you ask me do I believe in God, I would answer your question with a question, for instance do you believe in weather? When you discuss about weather, they say its Mother Nature so just let her do her wonders or disaster. Again in here, we are being sexist by generalizing Weather as a female. We never learn do we? So for me, God is just a word that human kind created so that we can all depend on God when none are to lend a helping hand. Most might raise an eyebrow reading the last sentence just now. Most might argue that I don’t pray to God only when I am in trouble or when I need something to happen, I pray to God all the time. Crap! You might be praying to God all the time, but when you want something to happen your way, you just pray harder and promise to give God something if he helps you through your troubles. This is bribing my friend. You are no better than our PDRM. You create the word God and then proceed to bribe him as well. Why don’t you just promise to yourself that you will get yourself some cool gift if things happen the way you wanted? It’s a false world you are living in.

Already God is beyond reality, and then we create religion. Religion my friends, I am totally against. Reason being of the wars and hypocrisy we see today. Israel is one religious affair which has been going on for ages. Jews claim Jerusalem is theirs, Christians claim it’s their holy city and Muslims claim Prophet Muhammad was there and 3 largest religions in the world come together to fight each other in the name of their religion and their God. Funny that when we have judicial system that takes into consideration the logic, practicality and motif behind a scene, we flush those aspects down the toilet when it comes to religion. We are living in one world with 2 different systems. The religious and the legal system. Just like in our Boleh Land, the syariah court and the civil court. Things are going to get out of hand if this is applied. In fact, this is already out of hand and almost way beyond repair.

Hypocrisy of the religionist is another aspect that makes me puke and hate the sight off. Now being a person who have read several Holy Scriptures / book which in some cases translated in English, I can assure you that from the different religious point of view, none teaches human kind immoral stuffs. They all teach us to be good, kind, caring, loving and all the 16 moral values we memorize for our Moral subject in SPM. However, to my surprise we do see religious fanatics that say aloud about the don’ts of ones’ religion to a field of believers but at the backyard of their homes’, they do the total opposite. You promise in the holy matrimonial culture to be one for one and yet you wag your tail when you see another opposite sex. You preach about not receiving or giving bribes, but you do the opposite behind the scenes. Who am I referring to? It’s for me to know and for you to find out.

I just cannot lay my faith on God or religion for that matter because of one thing only. I am unable to speak or see God. I would rather have faith on humans of which I can feel and speak. I would rather trust you who are reading this now. I would surely trust and lay faith in my parents who brought me into this world in the first place. You and I are living species in this world that can provide advice or feedback if we go through difficult times or even offer materialistic help when needed. These are tangible characteristic that I can see and feel good about when offered. Help doesn’t always come your way, you need to seek for help and who do you seek help? Not God, you seek help with the ones close to you. In your terms, they are your God. Flip back a few pages in your life history right now and remember who helped you when you really needed it, was it God? No, it was the person next to you when you were in a classroom, when you were in a lecture room, when you were in the living hall watching television, the person next to you at your office. These are the people you thank and remember for the rest of your life.

Allow me to share an experience my mom conveyed to me recently. Now my mom is an extremist when it comes to religious faith. Luckily she takes an approach of, it’s okay if you don’t have faith, just don’t ruin other people’s faith. I for one follow this carefully. Well, my mom and sis went to a devotional center recently to be involved in a religious talk of some sort. Everything went fine and they both left the center after the talk and headed home. Upon reaching home, my mom realized that her gold chain was missing. Knowing my mom or any women for that matter, she started to feel bad and was down questioning God why do you do this to me and all that drama. However, my sis taking the more practical approach, persuaded my mom to get in the car and start looking for the chain at the center, and so they did. Upon reaching the center and trying to look for the gold chain, my sis somehow found it on the grass field where the car was parked. With a happy and joyful look I presume, my sis gave the chain to my mom. The climax of the story is when my mom received the chain from my sis. Guess what, my mom thanked God. After the hard work my sis went through persuading my mom, and trust me it’s not a simple task to do so, my mom actually thanked God. I guess she did thank my sis, but she thanked God more.

The essence of the story above is thanking the people who helped you. Remember, the term God in this story would be my sister. Why? Do you need to be an old man with long white beard and an orange or white cloth covering his body to be God or claiming to be God like Swami Nityanandan? No such rule. If someone helped you when you really needed help, that someone is God to you. Be it a man, women, transgender or animal. A phrase in a recent Tamil Movie comes to my mind here. This was from the movie Dasavatharam by Kamal Hassan. Towards the end of the movie, the lead female actress and the lead male actor have this short conversation below:-

Lead Actor : I never did say that there is no God …. [5 seconds silence….].I just said it would be nice if there is one.

At the end of one’s life in this world, he, she or it doesn’t bring back what they possess materialistically back to the grave. They leave everything to the ones still living in this world and the one thing that matters most is the good old memories they fed you with. The memories when they came to you to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry when times were difficult for you. Memories my friends last forever. God on the other hand, we would never know.

Reasonable Doubts on Palm Leaf Reading

I had the pleasure of visiting the mystical land of India recently with my family. When the plan to visit India was first initiated, the first thing that struck my mind was to experience the Palm Leave Reading or better known in Tamil as ‘Naadi Josiyam’. The mystery behind this Palm Leaf reading is that the past, present and future of each and every being in this world has long been written by holy people of the past years. Now when I say holy people, there might be debates and arguments on how holy can one be and what supernatural powers they possess? However, putting all these debates and arguments aside, let’s just accept the fact or myth that these holy people do possess supernatural powers that can predict exactly what future lies for an individual. Now I know I have been against religion and so forth to the people who know me, but this is not religion. This is actually combination of science, astrology, numerology and a little rational uncertainty that messes the whole Palm Leaf reading process.

Apparently, you can actually determine the past life of an individual. Karma plays an important role here. Now if you have been a naughty person in your past life, you are going to pay for the shit you did in this life and vice versa. Just like the manmade myth of Santa Clause. The only difference is that with Santa around, you don’t get any gifts for Christmas in this life itself if you have been really naughty ;)

I went to Vaitheswarakovil (this is a place in Tamil Nadu, India) to check out my palm leaf. As I said earlier, everyone who has been born in this world has got his/her own palm leaf written. Do not get confused with the fact that this means there are about 7 billion palm leafs as there are about 7 billion people today as of 2009. That does not make sense at all as people die and babies are born every day in this world. So how does it work? I was given the explanation below.

A baby is only born based on the location of planets in our milky way which means there are only 9 planets. When a baby is born, the name, date, time and planet plays and essential part to determine the baby’s characteristics and how he/she is going to live life. Also include the horoscope (in Hindu mythology) as that plays a part as well. By determining all these factors, you can probably reduce the number of palm leafs written for each person in this world. The leaf will also reveal the exact date an individual will come to see his/her Palm Leaf. So that makes the Mathematical Probability do its part. This indirectly means one palm leaf can be shared by more than one person. Still confused? Let me give you an example.

A and B can share the same palm leaf if they were born at the same date and month but different year based on the exact location of planets. Obviously planets do move around the sun just like earth. So perhaps A was born when planets were in situation A and B was born also when the planets were in situation A but after all the 9 planets have completed one whole cycle going around the sun. If you are still confused, I guess you just need to experience palm leaf reading for yourself.

Now when I went to get my reading of Palm Leaf, it took about 10mins to find a leaf that suits me almost perfectly. In this process, the man reading the Leaf asked me to stop when my name is mentioned. So he read out about 20-30 leafs containing names that revolves my date of birth. (I gave only my date of birth and my left and right thumb print to them). The moment he mentioned my name, I stopped him after which he asked me to answer yes if the leaf has got correct information of my present life. That took another 5-6 leafs and eventually he found the one which was written for me so they say.

The particular leaf had my name, my parents’ name, my siblings’ name, the general job of my parents and how many sisters and brother I have. All this were absolutely spot-on. Amazed? So was I. Once we agreed that this is my leaf, he then started to tell about my past life and how it has affected my current life. Of course he also told me that the leaf will tell what you will be in the years to come and when you will die but I skipped that part thus; he only gave me a quick glimpse of it. However, the 1st doubt came when I asked him if the leaf has got my next life’s information. Astonishingly he answered ‘no’. I did not pursue that doubt as I didn’t want to engage in a debate with him.

Doubt: If a leaf can reveal my past life, how my past life influenced my present life, how I will live my present live till I die, why can’t it determine my future life? Is that how far the karma goes? 2 lifes. Even cats have got 9 lives so they say.

Apparently I did some nonsense in my previous life which is why I am paying for it now according to the leave. To avoid bad things to happen in this life, I can actually do some rituals for a period of time and this will change my future. This part of the story might have been made up by the person who read the leaf, but if it is true, then Palm Leave reading is original bull shit you see at the streets in India.

Doubt: If you can change the future, doesn’t that mean the leaf is lying? By
changing the future, I cannot get another leaf to be read because this particular leaf is mine. Written for people who were born on my birth date and month with the particular location of the planets remember.

After this part of the story, I started to lose concentrating and believe. He told me a few things about my future which I can’t go against as I have not passed the age yet in which I will post an article if it happens or not. One thing I can say is that according to the leaf, I will live a rather long time in this world. Good news, the world is not going to end on 21st December 2012 after all as predicted by the Mayans. Actually they did not predict this date; it’s just that their self-made calendars did not have any dates after the mentioned date above. Perhaps the associated person in-charge of the responsibility to create the calendar died or his hands got bite by a crocodile. I don’t know.

At the end of the session, he left the palm leaf on the table and went to grab an envelope to put in the cassette he was recording the whole process of him reading out to me the palm leaf information. When he left, I had a glimpse of the Palm Leaf. Now I have not seen a palm leaf in my life so I would not know if the palm leaf I saw is actually an original one. From what I read on the internet it probably was a palm leaf after all. When I touched the leaf, the material was more like a measuring tape used by contractors to measure lengths. When I saw the writings on the leaf, it was in Tamil. My vision may have deceived me, but I am pretty sure I could read a few a words written in that leaf

Doubt: Wasn’t it supposed to be Vatta Ezhuthu? If I could have read it, then it should be Tamil. Unless I suddenly had this light beam shun on me and mysteriously I could read Vatta Ezhuthu. Vatta Ezhuthu is an ancient Tamil language which does not appear as the Tamil alphabets we see today. Vatta Ezhuthu is the language used to write these predictions on a Palm Leaf.

Nevertheless it all ended and I was satisfied that I finally had experienced this mythical and mysterious palm leaf reading. As a whole, I was pleased on what has said about me on my past and my future life. If everything that was said to me as predicted happens, I would be very happy and would for sure propose this palm leaf reading to everyone. If only there was a palm leaf reading for every country. That would be awesome. Guess we just have to wait for the next General Election. Adious amigo!

One Indian (1 Indian)

From time to time I try my best to educate my fellow readers and friends about the true meaning of ‘Indian’ or at least what I believe. I am not going to write a long thesis kind of article today regarding this as I believe I have mentioned the meaning of it previously. However, just to refresh our Malaysian Minds, I will re-hash and add a little bit more masala to this.

Before that, wondering what Malaysian Minds are? Well the terminology Malaysian Minds refers to the Malaysians who are prone to forget the important things that happen in our country. Some sort of amnesia. Don’t believe me? Well go through the list below and you will be amazed what your mind fails to remember.

Let’s just put a side Malaysian Minds and high drama crap. Today is about Malaysian Indians. Most Malaysians are stereotype when it comes to defining Malaysian Indians. In fact, they are stereotype in identifying even the Malaysian Chinese. Let me give you a short historical class. Actually a geographical class as well. “Indians” in a general jargon mean people that are from the country India. You know the 2nd most homo-sapiens populated country in the world. Yes, yes!! India. Now people from India can vary from skin color to different physique. It is known that the country India owns about 300 ++ languages. So don’t you generalize us, who were born and bred in Malaysia. Our ancestors might have an Indian passport, but not us. Just because my great grandparents were born in India, that does not make me Indian. I was born in Malaysia, thus I’m a Malaysian. In the event you want a little in depth origin of mine, I am a Malaysian Indian and that’s it. However, this does not make me a person who came from India. I don’t even know how to sing the Indian National Anthem. The only national anthem I know is ‘Negaraku’.

Then why does the government call us ‘India’. You sick moron, India is a country, not a race! If you deny us of becoming a Malaysian, where else do we go? What am I talking? You can’t deny us of becoming a Malaysian. We are already Malaysians. In India, there are different ethnic people as well. There are, Tamilians, Malayalees, Telugus, Gujeratis, Punjabis etc. Each ethnic speak different languages and exercise different cultures. Some are even from different religion faith. They could be a Malayalee Chirstian, a Telugu Buddhist, or a Punjabi Muslim. Nevertheless, regardless of what race, ethnic or religious faith they are from, they are united under the one nation called India and the people are called Indians.

The country Pakistan is another example. Pakistan is a Muslim country just like Malaysia. Islam is both Pakistan’s and Malaysia’s official religion. Now if I go to Pakistan and was asked by a Pakistani what am I (referring to what countryman), I will answer Malaysian which is the correct answer. I cannot answer Indian because I am not from India. In fact if I answer Indian, I might be shot because there is rift between the Pakistanis and Indians. So you see, you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know this, it’s as simple as knowing your own name. No disrespect for those who don’t know their name or perhaps were never given one.

However, sometimes when you think about it, we can actually forgive the government for generalizing us because they are not that smart. But what do you tell to the people inside the community who practices isolation of Malaysian Indians. I hate to admit this, but even I sometimes have to go in depth on identifying my origins when asked by some senior Malaysian Indian citizens. I have been asked many times this question by these people, “What are you actually?” Of course the answer goes from Malaysian to what cast I am. Sick people! It amazes me that even highly educated people ask these questions. We want to unite under one theme of Malaysia yet we are thrown questions about origins and the moment we are asked this question, we are divided already. For this, I strongly propose for all application forms by the government to scratch the Religion/Agama and Race/Kaum column. We don’t need these 2 columns; we only need one which is ‘Nationality’. Haizz! They never change.

One last example I would want to publish is Ceylonese. Now Ceylonese are the people from Sri Lanka. They are either called Ceylonese or Sri Lankan. I would quote them as Ceylonese in here. However, Ceylonese can be from different religious faith as well. They could be a Muslim, a Hindu, a Buddhist, a Tao, a Christian or any religion in the world and once again, they are called Ceylonese because they were born in Sri Lanka. You cannot call a Malaysian born person whose parents or grandparents are from Sri Lanka a Ceylonese. These people are to be called Malaysians as well. I know a lot of friends who were born in Malaysia and yet would not give up the self-proclaimed status of being a Ceylonese and yet, there are even more friends I know in this pool who would not even utter the word Ceylonese. Perhaps they don’t want to be divided or perhaps they are just being patriotic. I don’t know, only time and situations will tell.

Below are some examples of countries and their citizens:-

1) Malaysia - Malaysian
2) Indonesia - Indonesian
3) Australia - Australian
4) Holland - Dutch
5) Iceland - Icelandic
6) Ivory Coast - Ivorians


I know it’s difficult and almost impossible to be patriotic in this country now. But there are people who are from the beginning. My dad is one such person. To your amazement and even mine, my dad actually ties our Malaysian flag high up a pole and waves it in my house every Independence Day (31st August) without fail. I speak to him about the corrupt government we have and he replies to me saying that the very corrupt government I speak about has given me the chance to get a degree in a university, has given me the professional job I have today, has put food on my table ever since I was born, has given my dad a job till now (my dad is 63 years old) and so forth. My reply to my dad is, “.. and has made me who I am today, going all out to ousted them by all means possible.” You see, from my analysis and you don’t need to be Einstein to know this, the only pool of people who can change this is the youth.

Anyway, we as Malaysians are to be united by the country. Scrap the Indian, Chinese, Malay terminology. Scrap the race-based politics. When the most Islamic based political party can accept other religious faith people into their party (I’m talking about PAS), we as Malaysian Indians and Malaysian Chinese will have to accept that we are more Malaysians than Indians or Chinese. It’s because we, the individual claim for ourselves that we are Indians and Chinese that the government takes us for granted. Let us start now. From now on, we say that we are Malaysians. Where you from? Malaysia. What are you? Malaysian. I mean really, what are you? You numbskull, I just answered you, Malaysian!!

Reviewing the days what Mr. Bob Marley sang in his song of the above title, one cannot fail to notice that he (Bob Marley) was actually defying the judgment behind Christianity’s’ Jesus, Heaven and Armageddon. However, that is not the purpose of my article today. I don’t want to make matters worse after Dan Brown’s bestselling novel “The DaVinci Code” if you know what I mean. Today’s article is about the rise of petrol price in Malaysia… yet again!!!

Sick, tired, disappointed, angry and frustrated. Feel free to add on in comments what else you feel about the hike in petrol price. Forget about the days when Anwar Ibrahim hiked up the petrol price when he was Finance Minister. As I recall, it was up 2 cents at that time. My memory is not capable of reviewing the last time the petrol price in Malaysia went down. But wait, has it ever gone down?? Perhaps my memory deceives me. What on earth is our government trying to prove? If you read what our beloved 1Malaysia Prime Minister commented on the rise in petrol price at the above link, you might just kick the very monitor you are looking at now. Its crap!

“Menurut perdana menteri, penyelarasan semula harga barangan tersebut akan membolehkan kerajaan mengurangkan perbelanjaannya melebihi RM750 juta untuk tahun ini”.

As I keep reading the statement above, my mind tells me to start swearing in this article. Yes, the government can reduce expenditure by 750 million ringgit. What ever happen to the PKFZ scandal? Helicopter? Submarine? Oh, and the National Palace? I was told that the Prime Minister official residence in Putrajaya actually has an underground train which links to his office in Putrajaya. What is this? The Whitehouse? I have to freaking drive to work which is 30km one-way. Full tank petrol for RON 97 for my car would now be almost RM100. Ok perhaps that’s exaggerating, but hey it’s still expensive. And we all know that the RON 95 is pure crap. Try using that crap petrol and you will be visiting the automobile service center within a month.

Why are we being burdened by our own government who is responsible to make our lives easier? Who is the government? The government is an organization voted into office by the Rakyat. The Rakyat! Is this what the Rakyat want? Our salary is not going any higher. In fact there are many companies that are reducing their staffs’ salary. Foreigners aren’t investing in our country no more. The politics is sick in our country. Petronas is the sole GLC responsible for the crude oil in Malaysia that puts its finger right up the Rakyats’ ass. You work like a dog, pay income tax, goods tax, road tax that tax and this tax to the government so that they can reduce the cost of living but what they do in return? Stick an un-identified rod back the ass. What does the Rakyat do in return? Keep that smelly ass hole as it is for evidence. DO NOT WASH OR DRY CLEAN! I’m sure its Saiful Bukhari who proposed this hike in petrol price to the government. Owh come on! Who am I kidding; Saiful was a UNITEN drop out!

Prior to GE 2008, while GE 2008 and post GE 2008. In all these 3 phases we went through, the one person’s speech that always keeps you up on your feet cheering is Anwar Ibrahim. He keeps saying this in his speeches. I recall even lately he spoke about it. “Hari ini kita tawan Putrajaya, esok harga minyak turun”. Hope to get this done very soon. I know many think that he is an two-faced politician. Call him whatever you want, but he is the best thing that can ever happen to Malaysia right now. Of course we have got RPK as well, but he fires everyone. He is like EMINEM who don’t give too shits about shits! We need people like them to put pressure. I am already pissed with the way how my home state is now (Perak). With that being said, now another blow. This time they play with my wallet. Money is something you don’t want to mess with. Now the government will ask to take the public transport. You moron, there are no public transports to or from Cyberjaya/Putrajaya.

Petrol is something we use every day. The load for utilizing petrol now is too heavy for one to bare it on his back. We have to start to get up, stand up, and stand up for your right. Bob Marley would have sung this while he was high on weed, but we don’t need weed to initialize this. We just need to spend about 10-15 minutes to go to the post office and register as a voter. Come next general election, which is scheduled end of this year or early next year, show them who is in power. My guess is the federal government has got no faith in retaining the country next GE and thus trying their level best to rob as much as they can. Remember, voting is not a right, it’s a privilege.

THR Raaga, Semme Hot-te, Semme Heat-te

The competition is set, the built up for it was massive, and in fact, the competition started off in a craze that people actually started getting an additional sim card and a phone just to push their luck to win the snow ball money that was rolling. This was the competition set by THR Raaga lately. How is it played? Well, just send your name and IC number to this specific number and you might get a call from THR Raaga. What you have to do when you receive the call? The moment you pick up the call, just say “THR Raaga, Semme Hot-te, Semme Heat-te” and you have a chance to run away with a minimal amount of RM200 if not mistaken. If none wins today, tomorrow the stake rises up by another 200 and it keeps going all the way… But wait……

We need to have someone to mess it up right? You know, no matter how good of a teacher you are, how interesting you class might be, how dedicated and talented you are, there will be one or two dumbass students that are going to give you a headache. These students just don’t like the others to enjoy the class and will start disturbing others. Dear teachers/lecturers/educator, I feel you. I was once there myself. It kills to see the joy of the class interrupted by 1 or 2. Well coming back to the main issue, if you notice at late, this particular competition by THR Raaga has been called off due to a complaint filed by an organization. Yes my dear friends, officially this competition is off the hook. Now you may ask which organization is so devilish in nature to do something like that. Lets’ all cheer for this organization and for their act against this competition. The organization that filed this complaint was none other than, Malaysian Hindu Sangam (MHS).
Some extracts from the complaint filed goes as below:-

First and foremost two of the words (Hot & Heat) are not tamil words but English. This itself sounds unrespectable as THR is a Tamil Broadcast.

Please note that the whole complaint letter to THR Raaga was in English and not Tamil. All right all right, you can’t be filing a complaint in Tamil; it has to be in English. That’s the International Language. Lets’ leave that aside. Hey but wait!! We, the Malaysian Indians are now so proud to have someone defend our Tamil Language. MHS is the defender of Tamil Language in Malaysia. You know what? We might just have another political party in the making. After all, you only need 4 Indians to form a political party. We recently had 2 remember, Makkal Sakthi and Human Rights Party. Well you know what, I bet I can speak and write better Tamil then most members in MHS. If I ever catch any members of this organization talking using English words when conversing in Tamil, you are in for a Tamil Language Lecture my friends. Just for the record, Hindu scriptures was written in Sanskrit and not Tamil. Tamil language came very much later. So if an organization has the word ‘Hindu’ in it, you then defend the Sanskrit not Tamil. Eat that!

….. the usage of English words as a prime introduction for a Tamil broadcast sounds unethical.

Unethical is derived from the word ethic. Ethics are basically known as moral philosophy. Moral philosophies are concepts about good and bad, right and wrong, justice and virtue etc. Who are you to educate the Malaysian Indians about what is ethical and unethical. The subject itself is very objective. Are you trying to conclude that the Malaysian Indians do not have the capabilities to think for them-selves? Are you saying we don’t have the ability to point out what is right and wrong? Get real MAN!!! We freaking contributed largely to the 2008 general elections. It’s a universal truth, proven statistics. One more thing, just to inform my fellow readers, who do you think worked closely to bring in the scandalous Nithyanadan to Malaysia??? Talk about ethics!! I rest my case.

On the other hand, “Seme” – the other words in the phrase which means “extremely….” Is expressed illusively by most of the Raaga DJs which is also culturally refutable!!

Culturally refutable? Hindu is a religion. Indian is a Nationality but has now been revolutionized to be a race by its own but only in our Boleh Land, Malaysia. How did that happen? I have no idea. We say Indian Culture and not Hindu Culture. We say Hindu rituals and not Indian rituals. MHS is Hindu and not Indian. You could be a Hindu and at the same time be a Pakistani. You could be Indian and at the same time be a Christian or a Muslim. Those people in India who are from the Muslim faith are called Indians because their nationality is Indian. Are you getting where I am getting? All right, another example. Our ruling federal government has the perception that all from the Islam faith are Malays. All Malays are Bumiputras (son of soil). WRONG!!! Firstly the Bumiputras are the Orang Asli and I know many friends who are form the Christian faith and yet an actual Bumiputra. What I’m trying to say is that one is totally different from the other. Our Malaysian perception about Indians is wrong. So, defend the Hindu religion and leave the cultural part of it to some other organization. Don’t get confuse with your own objectives. Read your organization’s mission statement and objectives if you actually have one.

Secondly, the particular words are now popular among school students but al l for the negative reasons. Primary students use them to tease each other whereas secondary school students use them cynically to attract attention from other school mates. This is regrettable as it causes much tension among teachers and student.

The words that the extract of the complaint above is referring to are “Semme Hot-te” & “Semme Heat-te”. You did not do your homework did you? These words have been popular way down the road. I was in primary school about 20 years ago and in secondary school 14 years ago. My friends and I have been using these words ever since. I can now proudly say all my friends are holding professional jobs such as doctors, lawyers, engineers, educators, consultants etc etc. These petty 4 words would not ruin students’ life and would not give a negative impact. What will give negative impacts are the building conditions of Tamil Schools. What will ruin a student’s life is the environment of the place they live. For starters, go to Kampung Taili, Kampung Santa Singh, and Spooner Road in Ipoh and get a better picture of Malaysian Indians living environment. Look at schools like Sangeetha Sabaa in Ipoh to see the conditions of a school built for Malaysian Indian young lings. These are more serious matters that need attentions. Did you know that Spooner Road does not even have roads? The whole settlement has got muddy sand roads. Go there and do something instead of filing a complaint on petty issue.

Hindu is more of a way of life. If there is an organization out there that caters for Hindus, then do what the religion teaches to do. Entertainment is largely connected with stories of Gods and Goddesses in Hinduism. Not to the extent of tuning to radio or watching ASTRO of course, but in a different approach. There are stories that relate to Lord Muruga and Avvaiyaar that is actually entertaining. Lord Muruga is one witty sarcastic God. Not that I know him in person or what, just form the holy stories. In one of the stories, he would go down to earth as a normal human boy. Note that Avvaiyar is human. She is a well learned old lady to be exact. Just to irritate Avvayar and get entertained, Lord Muruga will start to ask difficult questions to the old lady till she is unable to answer. Lord Muruga in the form of the boy will then look down toward Avvayar and start mocking her ability as a learned person. He asks, “You have deep understanding and such a learned person but yet you are unable to answer questions from a small boy like me??’ and will eventually laugh. He then changes to become Lord Muruga in his God attire. Avvayar then asks, “Why would you do such a thing to an old lady dear God?” and this is what he answered. “Just to look at your face when you realize you are not as learned as me”. Lord Muruga does this a lot in his life just for the sake of entertainment. I could go on and on but will save it for another episode. When Gods are given this freedom, can’t we also enjoy them?? So don’t come to me and talk about religion and say you are a defender of religion. I will give you such a long lecture that you will forget your religion. Best done when I’m under the influence of alcohol ;)

The one and only popular Tamil Broadcasting Radio in Malaysia which is doing extremely well have to go through this and now having to scrap their theme. I understand that a Radio Station has to cater for all regardless of age, sex, race, religion and whatever else. THR Raaga caters for the youngsters for sure. No doubts about that, but if you don’t like the way they run things, don’t like the DJs in THR Raaga, switch to Minnal FM. Don’t ruin the fans’ interest. You don’t like Pakatan Rakyat, vote for Barisan Nasional. You don’t like the movies broadcasted in HBO, switch to Star Movies. You don’t like me, don’t read my note. Why do you have to make life miserable for others? Help those who need help, don’t destruct what is already built for the good. It’s after all entertainment guys. Are we not entitled for entertainments in Malaysia? Gosh!!!

Well, as a conclusion, I would like to apologize to MHS for this if they are not to be blamed as my sources for this article could be wrong although I doubt it. This is my 2 cents opinion and it does not give any impact to others for sure as we are very well educated and can differentiate what is ethical and unethical. We don’t need external sources to take actions as we can do the empirical theory for ourselves. Kindly be informed. Thank you.

The One Religion that Recognizes Transgender (Thiru nangai)

Guess which religion? That’s right my strong fanatic Hindus, It’s your religion. Hinduism recognizes the transgender or some call it Homosexuality. Some might have known this fact and just kept it towards themselves as this is a very contradicting truth about Hinduism, others might not, but that’s because most Hindus in our beloved Boleh Land, which now has a strong essence of 1 Malaysia which unites all races and gives fair opportunity to everyone regardless of their race or religion that now, we are fighting about the word ‘ALLAH’…… GOSH!!.. it’s after all a word . Dam, I did it again!! Sorry folks, I jumbled up Hinduism and Homosexuals with Politics. How did that happen?? Anyway, coming back to the topic, I was mentioning about the fact that most Hindus do not know that Hinduism actually recognizes Homosexuals because they pray for the sake of praying. They pray, because their great grandparents pray, their grandparents pray, their parents pray and now they just follow these sightless footsteps blindly and pray for themselves. Most Hindus don’t even know the hierarchy of Deities in Hinduism. I don’t blame them, because we have got hundreds of them. Most of us don’t even know our relatives and cousins, how on earth are you going to remember the deities, and their sons and daughters and uncles and aunties and their re-incarnations and the re-incarnations daughters and sons and … phewww!! Etc. I don’t mean to amuse you with regards to the Deities but, do we need that many? Oh yes we do, the more the merrier because the earth’s population is not getting any smaller. You can’t have one GOD to look over the billions. You need to segregate the tasks and that’s why we have hundreds of them. It’s like an MNC organization. God Bless Me.

Now, enough of that and lets focus on how did transgender be recognized in Hinduism. Just like other religions in the world, Hinduism also has scriptures and holy books that are to be followed by fellow Hindus. These scriptures and holy books are not rules that must be followed; it’s similar to a story book where these stories are narrated in such away that you would want to follow it. It’s more of a way of life rather then a rule of law. Of course it didn’t work on me. That because I’ve already got a messed up mind. Thus; these stories are captured by people who were present at those particular moments just like the Gospels in Christianity. Hindus have got the Mahabaratha, the Bagavath Gita, The 4 Vedas, the Sutras and so forth. The transgender part comes from one of the Vedas (Rig Veda), Kama Sutra, and a tiny part in Mahabaratha.

The Hindus in particular know very well of the Mohini. Some label Mohini as a beautiful ghost and some as a beautiful Goddess. Trash the Goddess or Ghost part of it, now we know that she was extremely beautiful and gorgeous. Even now, Hindus will not turn back if they happen to hear footsteps with the sound of anklets around the feet while walking through a dark valley. This is because stories teach us that the Mohini is so beautiful that just one glance at her, you will be astonish and literally be hypnotized by her beauty and eventually be her slave. So how and why is she actually a character in these Holy Scriptures? Well, the explanation is as below.

Arjuna is a warrior in the epic war called Battle of Kurukshetra in Mahabaratha. He is one of the 5 sons of Pandu. These 5 sons are called the 5 Pandavas where each son has got one tremendous skill in helping a war to win. Arjuna of course was the archery expert. Even before the war, Arjuna got married to Nagakanniga and they have a handsome young son by the name of Aravan. During this Kurukshetra war, Aravan is chosen as a sacrifice for the Goddess Kali. Knowing this fact that he is going to die, just like other normal human beings, he wanted to experience lust/sex. So he wanted to marry, but no women would want to marry a man who is going to be sacrificed. Women reading this should not go against this fact because as much as men would love lust so do you. So just read. Now this upset Lord Krishna comes to the picture. How did Lord Krishna come to this picture? Well he was one of the warriors helping the 5 Pandavas win the war. Why does Lord Krishna have to be so nosy about a war? I have no idea. Perhaps he is just bored having fun with women. Hindus would know that Lord Krishna is some kind of a ‘PLAYER’. Well now comes the messed up part. When Lord Krishna got upset knowing the fact that none will marry Aravan, he assumes the form of Mohini and marries him. After Aravan is sacrificed for Goddess Kali, Mohini (previously known as Lord Krishna), dresses up in a white saree, breaks her bangles and cries. If you happen to watch tamil movies, if a lady’s husband dies for whatever reason, she dresses up in white saree, breaks her bangles and cries her lungs out as well. There you go. Transgender Mohini who is actually a male, marries another male Aravan.

Now, for the story of Lord Iyappan. Iyappan is actually a Deity himself because he is a God’s child. Literally speaking that is. God’s child meaning he was born for 2 different Deities. Long story short, King Maahisha Asura was given power by the Gods to be immortal against all Men. However, this poor King was then killed by Goddess Durga as she is a female; she had no issues killing him. Who sent Goddess Durga to kill the king? Well it was the same God that gave the King immortality against Men. Thus; the King’s sister, (the king now died), Princess Maahishi got so freaking pissed off with the God that she started to pray to the Lord Bramma. (Please don’t ask me who Lord Bramma is because that will take another episode to explain. He is basically the highest in the Deity Hierarchy). When Lord Bramma saw this princess’s devotion, he then granted her immortality towards anything at all except the combined power of Lord Shiva who is the Destructor and Lord Vishnu who is the Keeper and this is where things start to get really messed up yet again. But wait, Lord Vishnu is actually Lord Krishna himself. Lord Krishna is actually the 8th re-incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Anyway, the immortal princess starts to rob and conquer the world which upsets the Gods. Lord Vishnu then turns into Mohini. Pretty confusing eh? From Vishnu to Krishna to Mohini. Well, When Lord Shiva saw Mohini, he was charmed by her beauty and his need for lust took over his thinking brain. He, in-fact knew that Mohini was Lord Vishnu/Lord Krishna, but because she was so gorgeous and irresistible, he could not hold his thoughts and lust and thus, Lord Iyappan was born. Lord Iyappan of course successfully killed the princess. End of story. That’s another part where transgender Mohini who is actually a male, gets involved with a lust seeking Lord Shiva.

The religion Hinduism recognizes this transgender as the third gender. There is male gender, female gender and the third gender. This third gender has got a little bit of there and here and they do not socialize with the male and the female community. It’s like they have their own society. They even have temples built for them in India (Lately in S’pore as well) and no male or female can pray to their Goddess. Their Goddess is called Bahuchara Mata. Goddess Bahuchara Mata is a pure woman of course. Now don’t get confused with the trangender/shemales/tranny that you see on the streets nowadays after 12 midnight that is. These people are transgender but they go through genetic operations and take female hormone enhancements. The transgender those days only cross dress and mimic the characteristics of women. There is actually an eighteen day festival for these Indian ladyboys every year around April-May in India at their temple. One of the essential parts of the festival is to break bangles and cry out loud just as the story explained above.


Well my fellow Hindu followers; have I enlighten you with the only religion that recognizes transgender. Do you now have an upper respect or disgrace for these third genders? We have male washrooms, female washrooms, do we have transgender washrooms? We have Hindu temples that ask us to line up in a 2 rows to pray to God where the right is for females and at the left for males. Do we have one additional row for the transgender? Isn’t that the same God that you all pray? Why do you isolate these transgender when the same God that you pray mooted their confidence to become one or even by birth? That’s because society in the 21st century has changed. We find these transgender disgraceful and disrespectful. We have this perception that they are not fit to be the children of God when in reality; holy Hindu Scriptures have long identified and accepted them. Now tell me, aren’t you ashamed of your religion, or did I just opened your eyes wider to accept these third genders? Either way I win because I have successfully educated the fellow Hindus. However, if you chose to claim that I am talking crap, do read the Vedas, the Sutras, Mahabaratha, the Gita and visit the sites below.

Religion… Irrelevant Today

Religion… what is a religion actually? Some say its Rule that we all have to follow or else you will have to answer to God at the end of days. This Rule is also documented as well so that we don’t fall short of it. Some say it’s just a way of life with moral and ethical value, plus some irrational subject which is irrelevant in this 21st Century. I know what you guys are thinking, who the &%$@ is this guy to preach about religion. Well I am no prophet to preach and neither am I a skilled religious individual with permanent head damage (PHD) to lecture about religion. I am after all a common man with questions in his head about the fact of religion not being relevant in this 21st Century. I am going to beat around the bush and jumble up a few topics in here, so just be patient. Allow me to elaborate.

I am a non-religion believer. I find that religion and politics are the world’s 1st enemy. You think not? Check out the war in Palestine. How long has it been going on? I lost track. How about the internal religious affair in India? Hindus and the Muslims I mean. We don’t hear about it much nowadays, but it does happen. Somali Civil War motivated politically, Kosovo War motivated politically, Northern Ireland War motivated religiously rooted by Catholics and Protestants, Bosnian War motivated also by religious differences between Muslims and Catholics, East Timor War between Christians and Muslims, Kashmir War between Hindus and Muslims etc. Oh yeah... the Iraq war as well motivated politically. How could I forget that?

Let’s do a Root Cause Analysis here and I’m going to make it as simple as I can. Politically motivated war is caused by power hungry dictators who are willing to go millions of miles to get the power they have or had. Reason being, with great power comes great responsibility. Yeah right. Correction, with great power come great greed. Power = Fame = Sex = Money = Playing God = Greed and then comes Egoism = Boldness = Angry = Stupid = Downfall and you die.

I would like to touch a little bit of our local Malaysian Politics here. This is the part where I jumble up topicsJ. With the equation above, minus the downfall and die, we could clearly see the head of our largest Malaysian Indian Political Party, MIC. Ever since I got my interest in politics, I always regarded the party irrelevant to the Indians. Simple logic, why do you need a middle person to convey a message of your dissatisfaction to the person who makes the supreme decision? Don’t you know that the message you want to convey will surely be distorted along the way? Gather 5 people. The person at the utmost left start to whisper a sentence to the one beside him and do the same till it reaches the one at the utmost right. When he delivers the message, see what comes out. It’s not the original message anymore. Same applies here in politics. We don’t need a race based party to talk to the Prime Minister, we convey it directly.

Now let’s touch the religion Hinduism. You want something to happen; you go to temple, pray to God but how? You ask the Priest to do a ‘pooja’, which is conveyed in Sanskrit. Does God only understand Sanskrit? And if you want God to hear you, why do you need a Priest? Why do you need a middle person? Call Him out loud and speak to him directly. Once again, don’t you know that the message you want to convey to God would be distorted? And in this case it’s even worse because most of us don’t even know the Sanskrit Language. Who knows what the Priest is saying. You wouldn’t even know if he says, “Dear God, please don’t let me meet these morons (you) every day. They are making me sick… swaaaheee “You see where I’m getting? And Priests!!! For heaven sake, wear a T-shirt or a cloth to cover you body. You are not turning the ladies ON!!

One religion can have so many diverse teaching. In Malaysia, Hindus don’t eat beef or pork. I contradict the pork part of course as it was never stated that pork is a religious animal. Anyway, the Hindus in Indonesia eat pork, beef and even dog. It’s like chicken in Malaysia. Yes my friends, Hindus in Indonesia do eat dog and Hinduism was noted in Indonesia long before it was in Malaysia. So which teaching is right? Christians do eat meat, but they are also those who are vegetarian, why? If you are a vegetarian for health sake, then I understand, but why use religion as a tool to be vegetarian. Christians who are Catholics, Christians who are Protestants, Hindus who are Sai Baba devotee, Hindus who are Hare Rama Hare Krishna devotee, Muslims who are Shia, Muslims who are Sunni and each has got their very similar teachings but different in certain ways. This brings conflicts, wars and eventually millions die and the nation gets buried. So, religion is irrelevant in the 21st Century. It only brings deaths.

I’m not against any particular religion in this issue, what I’m trying to point out is that religion was man made. Indirectly, not perfect. Most Holy Books of most religion is man made. Man wrote these holy books with the inspiration and guidance of the prophet at that time or even God directly and so they say. Some holy books were even written and compiled long after the death of a prophet. This also means that Religion is part of history because it was written and documented in holy books a very long time ago and we are still reading it which means religion believers are actually reading and exercising the content in a holy book that was written by man a very long time ago that actually exists till now. I repeat, a very long time ago. It was written at their time probably a few thousand years back and it was perfectly fine at that time to follow because the situation and issues that arose then was handled with resolution that was coherent with that time. You can’t be using the same resolution that was used a few thousand years back for the problems or issues we face today can we? Its called ‘OUTDATED’

We all know that the History we read now was written by successful men at that time. It was written by those who were still living at that time. Those who won the war. Those who lost the war however did not survive to write any history because they are already dead before they could do so. Even if they had, it wouldn’t be published or rated as religious holy book because they lost!!! They fought for something and they lost. So we actually don’t know what the real story is to behind a religion as there is always 2 parts of a story. We have only heard the winners’ version of the story. The winners’ version could very well be the incorrect or the untrue version. So are you believers following the untrue version of religion? Ask yourself. For example, why are there are so much hype in a murder case that is brought to the courts these days? Why, because we, the people want to know what is the verdict of the court. It’s because we don’t know the whole story of the murder that took place. Only the court will decide and pronounce the verdict. However, this will only happen after the court hears both part of the story and then we accept the courts verdict, although some don’t, but that’s a different episode. When mankind now has the intelligence to hear both part of a story and then decide what is to be done, why mankind now can’t do the same when it comes to religion. Why do mankinds only believe in 1 religion? Why can’t they believe in 2 religions and accept both? Why can’t they just not freaking believe in any religion because it has no strong evidence to prove it? It is irrelevant now; it is irrelevant in this 21st century.

We believe in end of days, we believe in Armageddon, we believe that God himself is to come down to earth and cleanse it. We believe that there is going to be a ‘Great Battle’ when this happens. We believe and believe so blindly that we don’t ask questions. End of days will come, but it will come with WAR. War between men, with different religious understanding. War between men with different political views. End of days will come when the ozone layer is so thin, that the sun’s radiation will hit men directly and we all die. End of days will come, when uncontrolled diseases with high alert epidemic break out and wipe the human population. End of days will come because we don’t care about others’ perspective. We are so selfish that whatever we do, regardless if it hurts others or not, it is the right and the correct thing to do. End of days will come because we grow so egoistic that we never take an instance to put ourselves in others’ shoe and just think a moment, on how he/she feels. We made the world how is it today, and we are to break the world that we see today as well. It’s all human. We make mistakes, but you can try to amend it by just starting to pat the person next to you, smile and spread some warmth. Then again, human are also hypocrites. We say something today, and do the total opposite tomorrow. I am human as well.
